Life in a Church School

At Reigate Parish, our vision, values and aims are focused around our Christian ethos and values. We are closely connected to St Mary’s Church, Chart Lane and we work in partnership with them.

Reigate Parish Church School was inspected by SIAMS in May 2013. We were judged to be outstanding, and we are very proud of this achievemen. You can read the report by clicking on the link below: SIAMS Report

Collective Worship

The children attend collective worship every day. The assemblies follow our School Values and are taken by different members of staff and visitors.

Monday: A whole school (staff and children) collective worship led by the Headteacher.

Tuesday: Local clergy are invited to come and take the collective worship.

Wednesday: Teacher-led collective worship.

Thursday: Singing assembly, led by Mrs Wright. Our children sing with enthusiasm, learn to sign the words as well as sing the songs.

Friday: Whole school celebration assembly. Certificates are given to celebrate good work in school, and we praise children with an external certificate as well.

Class Assemblies

In the Spring term each class has an assembly where their parents are invited so they can see the learning the children have done and listen to the children’s response to what they have learnt.

We hope these brief notes will help you to understand the focus of our daily assemblies and how they are linked to our Christian Values, events in the Christian calendar and learning about God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
